Mechanical Engineering Intern

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about mechanical design, mechanism design, and robotics. We are looking for individuals of different skill levels with different backgrounds, who are capable of functioning both in a tight-knit team and independently for extended periods of time. Robotics is a difficult field and we are looking for engineers who are okay not knowing the answers before they start. (If you do know the answers please apply, we could really use those)

The ideal candidate will currently be in a university program or a recent graduate. Applicants must have good communication and documentation skills, and thrive in both a team and individual environment. Individuals with a strong foundation in mechanical design and experience creating parts in CAD are able to spend much of the internship focusing on the robotics aspect, so we recommend strengthening these before applying.

  • Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with some design experience outside of class.
  • SolidWorks / OnShape experience, or equivalent
  • Experience with finite element analysis

Preferred Qualifications (Not required, but would fit really well with our workflow):

  • Experience with composites (e.g. carbon fiber)
